Po’s Fightin’ Jade!

“Ah, Master Po, much improved since last we met I see.” Jade wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth after which he rolled up his left sleeve, which was customary in sparring matches between rivals. This custom enabled the sparring partners to remember that however fierce it might get, it was still just practice for the real thing. “Yes, Master Jade. Neither of us rich men can afford to make the abundance we possess lead us to become softer in our temples. Po Lei rolled up his right sleeve before giving a deep bow. “Xium bei then?” “So be it. Xium bei.” Po Lei took up the crouching tiger stance while Jade opted for hidden dragon style. “Some wicked moves you have Lei, lets see if they’re a match for my flying fist of Judah, seventies style.” “Huh. You won’t get a chance.” Po Lei flew across the dojo, arms in crane position, afore attempting fifty kicks to jades chin in under twenty seconds. He saw to himself then that the hours of practice had borne fruit. Jade blocked every blow. Except the last. He parried it and struck back with a straight fingered, straight armed thrust to Po’s larynx with his two physical eyes closed. Lei executed an easy knock away. “C’mon Jade! Stop trying to hit me and hit me!” Jade had practiced this also. For days, under Fu Lei waterfall, chopping the overspill as it rushed downward past his neck. “You make the mistake of believing I’m even trying at this juncture!’
